Sport in fashion?

Lately I’ve spotted a trend which I am not sure if I like it or not. The trend of adding a sporty touch to your outfit.  Whether it’s normal pants with white stripes which makes it look sporty, or actual Nike running shoes combined with a nice dress or a skirt. I haven’t figured yet out if I would wear it myself, although I like the odd way it seems to match.

What do you think about this new way of combining your normal wardrobe with your sporty one?

Lovely Love Knot

I have been in love with a webshop for a couple of months now (you might have seen it in this post). But because it’s situated in Australia, it costs only a whooping $30,- to get the stuff delivered here….. And since the jewelry they sell on Pink LouLou isn’t too friendly to my wallet either I decided to just keep it to dreaming. But that didn’t keep me from looking at it every once a week. And today my very, very, very sweet boyfriend, who loves me very much (who wouldn’t, right!?) was looking with me and decided to be the best boyfriend ever and order it for me...
Isn’t he the sweetest??!?

Have you heard of Pink LouLou before?

If not, you should really give it a look!

The Love Knot Ring in the middle will be mine soon! :)

Mixed up seasons

The seasons apparently decided to mix up a little, since it’s more fall now than summer. Unfortunately everyone has to take out his/her coat out of the closet again :( I really do not like fall or winter clothes, mostly they are so black, grey and brown. And even though I really like to wear black and grey, I do not like the winter/fall version of them!

But just to get in the mood for when the sun decides to came back, here are some sunglasses that I wouldn’t mind if someone gave them to me ;)

Do you like the cream colors I picked out?

Yes, it might be possible that I am a little obsessed with Ray-Ban sunglasses!

tribute to: Miroslava Duma

Sometimes you just have to look at someone once, and you know you are in love forever… A couple of weeks ago I saw a picture of Miroslava Duma (why, o why didn’t I see her earlier) and I instant fell in love!

Just take a look at her, she has such a cute smile and a wonderfull taste! Even thought she is not that tall (approxamately 5'3 or so) she knows how to dress herself to look way taller!
What do you think of her?

WISHLIST: Gold Gold Gold

I have a little confession to make… I am a little bit of a golddigger… Rings, bracelets, necklaces, watches, it all has to be gold, gold, gold!

My everyday jewelry exists of a secondhand golden ring I got from my boyfriend (brand unknown) and a rose golden watch from OOZOO. I would like to say that I keep my  other jewelry organized in a nice box or a drawer, but sadly enough I leave it wherever I take them off. In the bathroom, bedroom or on the dining table, name it and you’ll find my precious golden bling-bling.

About the style of my jewelry,  I do like it classy and I’m not that into statement pieces, I really like my jewelry to blend in with the rest of my outfit. So here are some pieces that I would lóve to add to my bedroom, dining table and myself ofcourse ;)

What kind of jewelry do you like to wear?

snowflakey ring Brand unknown
pear charm necklace PinkLouLou
nuon bracelet Gorjana
cross bracelet Gorjana
love knot ring PinkLouLou

p.s. If anyone knows what brand the ring on the top is from, please let me know! I have been looking for it for about a year

Copenhagen Love

I am really sorry for the lack of updates lately! I have been very busy with planning a trip (and going on the trip) to Copenhagen for school. To make it up to you, here a couple of Instagram pictures I made there (follow me!). I did not make a lot of pictures, since everyone who joined already made 100+ pictures an hour. Maybe I'll post them later.
Have you ever been to Copenhagen?

If not, you should! I really fell in love with Copenhagen! The architecture, the peace, the people (who dress so well!) and it’s so clean everywhere! I can’t wait to get back, I still haven’t seen all the shops yet :)

2. Blowing bubbles in front of the town hall

Dreamhome

My boyfriend and I are still looking for an apartment in Nijmegen, but were both students… And you know what that means: empty wallets!
So unfortunately we can not afford the next few things. But boy, if I won the lottery!

Do you already have your dreamhome?

The wrong way

Today a quick small outfitpost. I’m still not comfortable with a whole outfitpost, so here is a little detail of it.
I really like trying to wear things the other way around. For example this simple shirt from Zara. I bought it because I really liked the copper zipper on the back, but I didn’t want to hide it behind a blazer or my long hair. So I thought, why not turn it around?
And here is the result!

Do you sometimes try to give simple clothes a little twist to make them more of a statement?

I was wearing:
Blazer: Zara (it looks blue here, but it is actually green)
Shirt: Zara

Anna Dello Russo for H&M

As you might have seen in some fashion newsletters or on other blogs, there is a new guestdesigner for H&M. This time it is Anna Dello Russo, editor-at-large and creative consultant for Vogue Japan, who has created a whole accessories collection.
I only saw one picture from the accessories but boy, do I lóve this collection! I haven’t been too excited about previous collaborations, Lanvin was way too overdressed to my opinion and the silhouettes  from Marni aren’t my taste either.
But this one really got my attention!

I absolutely love golden accessories (all jewelry that I own is gold), it really spices up a simple outfit. And I adore the aqua-greenish color you see in the clutches. I really can’t wait till October! I have been browsing the web for hours but couldn’t find any other pictures then the ones below. Too bad :(

The collection will be for sale from the 4th of October online and in 140 stores. Don't forget to put that in your agenda's!

What do you think of this collection?

Festival inspiration

I was almost afraid it wouldn’t happen ever again. But the day before yesterday, Queensday here in Holland, the sun showed its face again! And how!
I love it how every year everyone seems so eager for the first couple of sunrays to come out, and when they come out, everyone seems so happy and nice. I wish it could be like that every day!

Another thing I like about the sun coming out, is that it is time to take out our festival-outfits! Or even better, buy new ones ;) I really like the Aztec/African vibe this year that you see in a lot of stores like H&M, Zara and ASOS (my personal favorites). All you need is one heavy coloured/printed item, add some basics and some nice accessories and you are ready for a festival!
I haven't bought anything yet. Unfortunately the H&M short at the top is sold out everywhere i come and even on the online shop :(
Maybe it's time for a DIY!

Here are some other items that I also would love to add to my wardrobe.
You can also see that I added some bags this time, that's because they come in very handy on festivals! Think about rude people throwing beer everywhere (especially all over your shirt), and then that extra (dry) shirt comes as a gift!

Do you like festivals? If yes: What do you like to wear?

1. H&M Shorts
2. River Island Bag
3. H&M Smartphone Case
4. Primark Bikini
5. Topshop Shirt
6. The Stellar Boutique Belt
7. Asos Loafers
8. River Island Backpack

It's a hair thing

A couple of years ago I was at a ZOO, when suddenly I saw this little girl who must have been like 6 years old. And this little girl had the most beautiful hair I have ever seen!
Beautifull long, thick, black curls right to her lower back.
Sadly enough I didn’t have a camera with me, otherwise I would’ve taken a picture and bring it to the hairdresser: “This is what I want!!!”

Even though I know it is bad for my hair, but I only go to the hairdresser once or twice a year. I think it has something to do with hairdressers who seem to think that “just a little bit” is more like half of a meter…  :(
Also, when I was little I was a bit boyish and always had really short hair. When I got older I began to love more girly stuff and let my hair grow longer. Maybe that’s why I don’t like people to mess around with it, because finally i have the length i want (halfway my back)

Here are some random pictures how I would love to wear my hair. Sadly enough, I have really thin and smooth hair, therefor it never stays the way I want, no matter how much hairspray I spray in it.
May hair looks almost exact as the picture right at the top, but without the blond ends.

I don't know where the pictures are from. I found them on the internet and forgot to write down where i got them.

Last but not least!

I totally forgot to introduce myself! My name is Sophie, and I’m a 21 year old Dutch student. From now on I’ll be updating you on the things I dream of.
That can vary from being able to wear loafers without pain (see my pervious post) or the decoration for an apartment I’m hoping to move in to in a couple of months with my boyfriend. And if a dream comes true, like winning Christian Louboutins (still keeping my fingers crossed and join in yourself!) I will let you know of course!
Any tips, comments or advises are very welcome!

Maybe in the future I will show you outfitpictures, but I’m still new to this and a bit uncomfortable with that. I hope you don’t mind :)

No pain, no gain

Although for some reasons my heels are really weak and every loafer or ballerina I wear make them hurt like hell, but I love them! I was able to wear my latest buy for 250 meters before they started to burn my feet off and created enormous blisters…
But this pain issue does not keep me from dreaming of one day walking at them without pain.
Got any tips on that?
